This product is not nearly as effective as an active mattress cooling product like chili pad, for example. I'm going to try to install a ceiling fan and see if that bridges the gap.

I order this online specifically because I was looking for a cooling mattress to help with how hot I get at night (I'm not a hot sleeper but I have hot flashes). At first touch it is cool, but once you sleep the spot you are in gets warm. I then need to move to a different part of the bed to get a cool spot. Not very pleased with that. Comfort wise, the mattress is pretty good. I have arthritis in my spine and both hips so needed something with support but I still like soft. I got the plush option to give it some softness. It's not pillow top soft (my previous mattress was a pillow top), but there is a level of soft with the support I need. At first I was going to exchange it because I was so disappointed about the lack of cooling, but it has been about a month and a half and I think I'm gonna keep it. I need the support more than the cooling. But if you are looking for a cooling mattress (to keep you cool while you sleep), this isn't it. It is disappointing considering the price.

We bought this bed in August, it's definitely comfortable and stays cool. Just be cautious of what sheets you use because it can block the cooling factor.

Bought this mattress since we're hot sleepers. Overall the bed is good but the cooling feature falls a little short as our body heat warms up the bed so it doesn't stay cool for long.

My hubby and I bought the bed because he's a hot sleeper and I've been dealing with a lot of pain. Got the white glove delivery (thank you) and took seconds to install. I have been having pains in my lower and upper back, neck, shoulders, and arms. The FIRST night we got our bed I woke up with no pain. I kid you not! This is the best sleep I've had for at least 10 years! Still the best mattress I've had! We don't even use our mattress pad and the sleep has never been sweeter!

The mattress is fairly comfortable but it is very very Hot to sleep on. I never had a foam mattress before but you can bet I will never have another one. Serta makes some good mattresses but in my opinion this one is not. If this is 15 times cooler than other foam mattresses then god help me. I would burn up on them. It seems to be put together well , just to hot for me. Sorry Serta!

I do not get hot with this mattress, but I also made sure to use a cooling mattress protector. We have been sleeping all night long with the mattress, and we wake up feeling rested. Also, we don't feel movement when one of us shifts position. We have never spent so much on a mattress, but we are thrilled with our decision to go for it! We ordered directly through Serta's website and the mattress even arrived a couple of days earlier than scheduled. We ordered through Serta because of their warranty and free pickup if we were unhappy with our purchase, but we are very pleased so don't anticipate returning it.

Perfect mattress for those that like paying extra to have it smell of second hand smoke from delivery team and don't mind carpets being left dirty from shoes. White Glove delivery is everything you expect, if you want them to not call in advance like required, and take a smoke break just before entering your home. Wonderful way to override the new mattress chemical smell so you only smell cigarette smoke.

The Arctic Hybrid mattress is incredibly soft and comfortable while maintaining substantial support. It truly is the best of both worlds.
First time sleeping on this mattress it was incredibly comfortable, no need for a breaking-in period. It does have a chemical smell when first unwrapped, but I let it sit for a day before sleeping on it and the smell was completely gone by the second night.
The Arctic Hybrid has cooling foam that is absolutely wonderful. I usually struggle with memory foam mattresses since they make me so hot, but this one really works to keep cool.
The memory foam combined with the internal support makes this Hybrid mattress the most comfortable sleep I have ever had. I highly recommend this mattress!

I have had a temperpedic mattress for 10 years. Was Leary about trying something new but this mattress exceeded my expectations. It is so comfortable. Restful night sleep. I don't have a problem with being hot but my boyfriend does and he said that he didn't get hot all night. Win either way since he didn't have to sleep with the slider open and freeze me out. Overall good quality and comfortable mattress. New fan.

This bed gets high marks from me and my husband. My husband and I have significant weight difference (100 lbs vs. 200 lbs), so sometimes it's hard to find a bed that is comfortable for both of us - not too firm or soft. But this one hits the target! Its memory foam feels cushioned but not overly plush. And the Arctic technology kept us cool even with the memory foam.
Recommend if you're looking for a hybrid mattress - best of both worlds of foam and coils - with cooling technology.

Over my forty years of life I've tried a ton of different mattresses searching for one that was comfortable, and that would help my back issues. When I received my new Arctic Hybrid Sealy mattress I was blown away by the craftsmanship, and quality alone just looking at it that was put into it. The first night I slept on it was like laying on a bed of clouds, and slept all night long comfortably. Living in North Carolina, and it being so humid even if a mattress is comfortable you're usually going to be hot and sweaty causing to be difficult to sleep. This is an a problem at all with my new Sealy Arctic hybrid mattress!! It keeps you cool and comfortable all night long and it's just absolutely amazing!! I can't get this mattress enough stars I recommend it highly enough!! If you're looking for the best mattress on the market and the best sleep ever had this is the mattress for you!!!

I really love the Sealy brand and this mattress lives up to my expectations from them. It is very comfortable and I get the right amount of support to have a good nights sleep. It did take a week or so for the mattress to break in, but after that, it's perfect. I love that the mattress has cooling features, but I still wake up hot. It is cool when you first lay down but doesn't stay that way. Overall, this is my favorite mattress I have ever used.

I've been waiting forever for the perfect mattress and I'm happy to report back that I've definitely found it! This Arctic Hybrid mattress by Serta is in my personal opinion the absolute perfect mattress! The hybrid part makes it plush but also firm providing just the right amount of plush without being too squishy. For the first time in a long time I'm able to sleep comfortably and wake up with no more back or neck pain, it's definitely life changing! It's Kind of amazing what a good mattress can do for your sleep routine. The cooling material in this mattress also helped me tremendously, I'm finally able to put away my bed fan and just keep my Ac on, so the cooling factor is doing it's job at keeping my body cool throughout the night. Another thing I personally love about the Arctic Hybrid mattress is I no longer wake my husband up when crawling into bed at night because the memory foam transforms around your body and makes it bulletproof to not wake people up when crawling up the opposite end. Overall I can't find anything to complain about only wish I discovered this mattress sooner because it's been an absolute life changer and I can't imagine sleeping a night without it.

The Arctic Hybrid Mattress is soo comfy! The cooling gel layer makes it so your body does not create any hot spots while you are sleeping which I love. I cannot stand being hot at night. The foam layers make it so you just melt into the bed! It is very easy to get comfortable on this mattress! Another added bonus was that this bed is not bouncy so if you have kids like me who like to jump on beds or a husband that moves a lot in their sleep, you will not be disturbed by the movement. The only con, this mattress is very heavy

I cannot stress enough how awesome and comfortable this mattress is. I gave it a couple weeks before writing the review and during those weeks I got the best sleep of my life. This mattress feels like heaven, super comfortable and luxurious. I always get night sweats no matter how cold it is in the room and this mattress definitely offers amazing cooling just as advertised. I no longer sweat at night! I am in love with this Arctic Hybrid Mattress. It is extremely comfortable! It really keeps me comfortably cool at night. There's no slouching with the weight of two people. I broke this review up into night one and two weeks later.
Night 1: So far the bed is a FARRARI! It's extremely comfortable, it is as perfect at the edge as it is in the middle. There's no roll. Your body temp. Is regulated, no hot feet, or cold feet. The temp of your body is a constant comfort level. No pressure points, no need to try to rearrange to get comfortable. The attached top layer provides the perfect amount of body forming support. Absolutely no need for a topper. Best nights sleep ever!
Week 2: This bed is AMAZING! I didn't really expect it to make as big of an impact, but I must say it DELIVERED! I'm not sure how it does what it does. There is absolutely no sweating, hot feet, cold feet or overheating when sleeping. Our body temperature maintained a comfortable state for a most welcomed continuous, uninterrupted sleep. The edges don't roll, so you have a nice platform all the way to the edge of the mattress, without giving up any comfort. We refer to this bed as our FARRARI because it's so high class, well made and unbelievable comfort. I can honestly say, we have never had a mattress that will check all the boxes. It's not ridiculously heavy and it's easy to make the bed. The mattress is thick but any deep pocket bed sheets fit well.

My husband & I love this Serta Arctic Hybrid Mattress!! It is extremely comfortable and we both get a good nights sleep on it. This is a "hybrid" mattress which means it has both coils and foam. It is a cooling mattress- that uses Serta's "Reactex" system, which draws your body heat into the memory foam and gel foam. And though I am not sure exactly how that technology works- it does indeed work! Very impressive! It has been in the 90's this past week and the mattress felt cool. The mattress is a medium firmness, but has a foam layer on top which makes it a little more soft. I can sleep in any position, and I tried back/side/stomach on this mattress - all were comfortable. This mattress does not have to be flipped, but can be rotated, which I will probably do 1x year. This is a heavy mattress and a thick/depth 13.5" Getting a good nights sleep is so important, I am so happy to have the Serta Arctic and I would recommend it to anyone looking to stay cool, and comfortable.

This mattress is cool looking, for starters... very nice materials, graphics, excellent quality of assembly. Then, the comfort is unbelievable. It's has a supportive yet cushy feel that one just melts into... only you don't melt because it so cool. The temp is nice and chill, making for excellent sleeping without overheating. This mattress is excellent! The mattress is very well made. I check the seams, they are sown tight. The mattress itself is very heavy. I take it to as evident to the quantity of the mattress. The mattress sleeps so well. It is very comfortable. I love how that I don't wake up sweating. The mattress helps to keep my body temperature in line. I have always use Serta mattress, but the serta artic hybrid is the best. I love how soft the top is but I have plenty of firmness.

I like my mattress to be not too soft, so that it can provide some support while sleeping. And at the same time I like it to be not too hard either so as to be uncomfortable. The arctic hybrid mattress fits in that range perfectly. It provides enough support and it doesn't feel like I am struggling or lost in the mattress. As I turn, it doesn't bother the other person sleeping on the same bed. The mattress is also pretty thick, thicker than my previous mattress.
As far as the cooling part is concerned, I feel like the mattress does help to keep me cool during the night. On hot summer days, earlier I used to sweat at night. Now I am having to switch off the AC and I don't sweat at all while sleeping.
The only 1 thing which I wish could have been done better is that traditionally I am used to flipping the mattress every 6 months. With this one, it clearly says not to flip. While I appreciate that I don't have to flip the mattress and do extra work, I am not too sure how it affects the life and wear of the mattress. I wish this was explained with the product as a benefit.

Honestly the best night sleep I have ever had! Going in I thought it would be too firm, but I gladly admit I was wrong! I'm a back sleep and my husband is a side sleeper, and to this point we have no cons to this mattress. It's amazing how it keeps you cool throughout the night, assuring you don't toss and turn because you get too hot under your bedding. Hands down honestly the best mattress we have ever owned.

I'm 45 and haven'thadanew mattressinover 10 years, so I jumped at this one. ..Nice and Firm supports my back and joints. Which I need as a super active person. I walk miles daily for work and my body was just aching. It feels soooo good. It's been a while since I had a comfortable good night sleep. The cooling technology is exactly what I have been yearning for. This mattress is just what I was looking for. How great it is to wake up refreshed and rested for the day. I've had shoulder pain for years but after even just the first night's rest I could feel a drastic difference and it's only getting better as time progresses. It's firm but not if that makes sense. Positions my body in and supports me in all the right ways. It is exactly what I was in need of.

This mattress is amazing. At first I was skeptical about the cooling effect claims but I could tell the difference between it and my old mattress on the very first night I used it. The memory foam is not too soft but just the right amount of firmness to support without giving "sinking" feeling. I would definitely recommend this mattress as it does job it advertises to very well.

It doesn't sink down too much with your body weight. Just enough so you feel support and cushion enveloping your whole body. I don't arctic technology that noticeable. It is colder and sustains a colder temperature than other mattresses but it doesn't really relatively cool you down. It doesn't make you overhear but it doesn't serve like an AC. I do sleep well on this. I do like it.

From the day this mattress was delivered I have slept like a baby! It is firm, yet soft. The top layer literally "hugs" your body, for a night's sleep like never before. The cooling isn't just a gimmick, I am seriously cooler and less sweaty even though it's been a hot summer. All in all, I hope this mattress lasts my lifetime!

I am a VERY hot sleeper who has to blast the AC during the night. This mattress is comfortable, supportive, and keeps me cool at night. I will say though, that this mattress is very heavy, so it was a bit more difficult to move around than I had expected.

I got this mattress a week ago. It is so soft yet firm, if that makes sense. It is nice and bulky but when you get on it, it conforms to your body .Since it is memory foam it conforms and is sooo comfortable. When you get up it goes right back to its shape. But another great thing is unlike other mattresses when you get on them, the whole mattress tends to sink down and move when you get on. The one just moves in the spot you are getting on. My back used to hurt so bad with my other mattress. This one is like sleeping on a cloud. It is firm enough for your body to get support, but soft enough as well. I cannot explain how comfortable it is. How soft yet firm it is. I have had no more back ache when I wake up like I used to with my old mattress. I sleep so good all night/.My two year old even loves it!! You have to get you one of these in order to see what I am talking about. I highly recommend this mattress.If you are in the market for a new mattress, this one is it!! The quality and support and comfort it gives,is beyond amazing,

I am so happy with this Serta Arctic Hybrid Queen size mattress. It hugs you when you lay down on this mattress. You never want to get up. I like a soft cozy bed. This is the perfect fit for me. I'm a side sleeper. I don't feel a hard spot on my shoulder or hip like I did with my last mattress. This mattress also has a cool feel, which is so nice as I'm always so hot in summer. I would recommend this Serta mattress to everyone. There's nothing better than a good nights sleep!
